Use the Omaha odds calculator for PLO hands

The opening flop example puts aces with straight and spade possibilities against kings with queens on the flop. Its exact result counts every remaining turn and river. Start there, or tap a seat to enter four different hole cards. Leave an unknown opponent on Random and choose the number of players still in the pot.

Add the flop, turn or full board in the community-card slots. The Omaha calculator removes every known card from the shared deck before dealing the rest. Finishing a hand or changing the board starts a new calculation; each seat shows win, tie and equity beside its cards.

Use Copy hand link to save the game, hands and board together. A shared link restores the same Omaha hands and board on this page. Reset returns to the opening flop example, ready for another comparison.

Your aces begin ahead of an unimproved pair of kings, while the spades and connected ranks create additional ways to improve. Both players’ cards affect the remaining deck. The engine checks the full runout, including straights, flushes, stronger pairs and split pots.

Omaha poker: exactly two hole cards and three board cards

To calculate Omaha poker odds, the evaluator combines exactly two of your four hole cards with three community cards. It compares all eligible selections and keeps the strongest five-card hand. Different selections can produce different hand types. Begin with the two hole cards that complete the hand you are considering.

An Omaha showdown with one spade

Four spades are on the board, and your ace is your only hole-card spade. Your best eligible hand is two pair, kings and queens. Player 2 uses the jack and ten of spades with three board spades to make a king-high flush.

The ace of spades removes a card that another player might hold, but making your own flush requires a second spade in your hand. Load the completed board in the Omaha calculator to see the winning seat and its equity.

Two fitting hole cards make the straight

The board runs from five through nine. Player 2 combines ten-jack from the hole cards with seven-eight-nine from the board for a jack-high straight. Your aces make one pair when combined with three board cards.

A straight printed across the board becomes useful through the two hole cards that fit it. Choose those two first, then trace the three board ranks that finish the sequence. This makes the final comparison easier to read on connected boards.

Preflop Omaha odds compared with Hold’em

Compare the same aces and kings, adding connected side cards for the Omaha poker odds example. The Hold’em deal below is counted exhaustively. The Omaha deal uses a fixed-seed sample at build time, so the published estimate is reproducible; loading it runs a fresh sample. The named suits and side cards define these particular matchups.

The aces have a smaller equity advantage in this Omaha example. The extra hole cards give each seat more eligible ways to connect with future boards. Kings with connected queens can improve through combinations beyond the kings themselves. Enter all four cards together to compare preflop Omaha odds.

Multiway Omaha odds use one shared deck

Adding a third hand changes the winner comparison and removes four more cards from the deck. The three-player example adds a set of nines on the same flop. Each runout is dealt once and all three hands compete on it. Multiway Omaha odds therefore differ from multiplying separate heads-up results.

Enter every known hand for the multiway Omaha odds calculation. Random seats receive uniformly selected four-card combinations from the remaining cards. This describes an unknown hand drawn from that whole set. Choosing an exact opponent hand narrows the question to the cards you enter.

The heads-up flop counts 820 turn-and-river outcomes; the three-way version counts 666. The smaller runout set comes from the additional known cards. The new opponent can still reduce your equity because each completed board now has another hand to beat.

Read Omaha poker odds: equity, wins and ties

Win is the chance of being the sole winner. Tie records every deal where your seat shares the best hand. Equity includes wins plus your fraction of each tied pot. For equal pot eligibility, the players’ equities sum to the whole pot, apart from rounding.

On the flop or turn with all hands entered, a hand that is behind or tied gets an outs list: cards that put it alone ahead on the next street. A later river can change the winner again. Equity follows all remaining streets and includes the effects of redraws and split pots.

For a call that reaches showdown, compare equity with the price from the pot odds calculator. Use the pot your hand is eligible to win. When contributions create side pots, compare the eligible hands for each pot separately.

Exact Omaha odds and Monte Carlo estimates

Exact enumeration gives Omaha odds by evaluating every remaining deal in a small outcome set. These completed-board examples have a single outcome, and the entered flop examples enumerate every board completion. The Omaha calculator reports the method and actual outcome count below the table.

Larger Omaha sets use Monte Carlo with 6,000 sampled deals. Each deal draws from one deck without replacement, then evaluates the best eligible hand at every seat. The displayed equity estimate updates as samples arrive. Fresh samples can produce slightly different estimates for the same setup.

This calculator covers four-card Omaha high, including PLO matchups. Use the Texas Hold’em equity calculator for two-card comparisons, or keep the hand rankings chart beside your result when reading a showdown.
